Confederate Navy

Hi everyone, just signed aboard and like to say hello. I have an avid interest in the officers and crew of the Confederate cruiser Alabama, and have been since 1989. Part of this research is to find information on the men who served aboard her, up until they died. A lot of this collection I have handwritten and typed files on the men, but there are still some I don't know about. Does anybody have a relative aboard her, which I can follow up on? Some of my recent finds have been Alfred Morris, who deserted the ship at Simons Bay, Africa, and later moved to California, becoming a rancher there. Another man, John Williams, thought dead, actually survived the battle with the United States steamer Kearsarge, and went to New York becoming a pilot on the Hudson River, despite losing parts of his hands during the naval fight off Cherbourg in 1864. Then of course you have Edwin Jones, and Samuel Henry, both men buried locally in Bebington Cemetery.
