Searching for a possible marriage between Sarah Briscoe b. 1890 to Mary Anne and James Briscoe and Albert Melia b. 1888 ? .Sarah`s son Robert Herbert[ 1922-2013 is registered under the surname Melia on his birth certificate and Sarah also gives her surname as Melia. can`t find a likely marriage. Anyone else any ideas or perhaps links with either family? In 1922 Sarah is living in Kerrs Field, Moreton.
The Briscoe surname rings a bell in the Neston/parkgate area.I'm sure a female briscoe used to own a hotel in Parkgate in the late 1800's it won't be sarah but could be a relative as its not a very common name
