I, and many others have been searching for information on a Charles Morton.
He died in New Zealand in 1911 and according to his death certificate was born in Birkenhead in 1840.
He is said to have travelled to New Zealand via USA and Australia arriving NZ 1861. Marrying a Louisa Whitbread in 1867 in NZ
although no record of the marriage can be found.
I would be very grateful should some one be able to shed some light on this as it is becoming something of an obsession.
