I have been searching for James Hardy who is my great grandfather . I stumbled accross an advert for The New Brighton Tower Gardens stating the greatest sight on earth, James Hardy who performs daily tricks on the high wire.
Now I know its a long shot that this is my relative but if anyone can shed any light on him I would be very grateful. He is on my grandfathers birth certificate as a traveler in1905. The woman who gave birth to my grandfather is named as Maude Brown a dancer by all accounts. It has set me thinking that they might have met at the Tower performing. They abandoned my grandfather to carry on performing so it has always a mystery within the family. I have seen a picture of James Hardy my great grandfather so if there is a picture out there of the performer I would love to compare.
