I grew up in Lower Bebington. My father worked for the Clanline in Birkenhead. As a child my family used to spend time at the firms 'country club', Spital Old Hall. There were bonfire parties for the staffs families and Christmas parties. Dad played cricket, tennis (never golf although there was a fairway), woods etc. Does no one on the Wirral remember it? It was a massive old hall, now redeveloped as a housing estate. Has anyone seen/got any pictures of Spital Old Hall? It's almost like it never existed....
