Grosvenor Street? Help please!

Hi all, I am looking for details / pictures of Grosvenor Street, Tranmere, which is where my Great Grandfather, William Waring was born in 1847.  Not having much luck so wondered if anyone on here would be able to point me in the right direction. Many thanks!

There was a Grosvenor St. in Lower Tranmere on my map of 1909. It lasted until about 1960s. I have never seen a photo of it 

and Don,t think there will be one available . It was on the eastern side of the railway line By Gothic St. and Ionic St but just a little

nearer to St. Pauls Rd. I have seen one or two photos of The National School in Star St. next to Planet St. but these streets were

just on the other side of the railway line. It was a heavily built up area of small terraced houses . There were also some "courts'

which were even more poverty stricken blocks of houses with outdoor privies shared by several families and no indoor water supply

at all !  The surname Waring goes back hundreds of years in Wirral. I grew up in the 1950s in Rock Ferry with a family of Warings.

 They were in Stanway Place off Nelson Rd. I have a group photograph from Coronation Day of 1953 with boy named Richard Waring

 on it . He is in his mid 70s now and living in Eastham. He has several sons. I have a Directory of Birkenhead in 1850 and there are

2 Warings in Hamilton Square - John at No. 54 ( a Merchant) and William (Esq.) at No 52 These must be middle -class gents ! 

 There were Warings in Bromborough in the 1600s and 1700s I think . Please acknowledge receipt this message.

Many thanks Roy, only just found this reply!

The more I search on the Waring family the more all roads lead to Lancashire!

And to add to it all, while my father was a Waring, my mother was also a Waring before she married!

(And my son who is an Edwards has married an Edwards and my daughter who is a Sheppard is engaged to a Sheppard! I'm sure I can sell this stuff to a magazine! And imagine the confusion for generations of family researchers to come!)

So I think I really need to do some deep digging. Rock Ferry comes up time and time again, so that will be my starting point.

I was born in Grosvenor Street and our house backed onto Ionic St school, it ran parallel to Ionic Street.

The houses were older and the street sustained bomb damage which are part of the reason they demolished it.

I remember waking in the morning to the aroma of freshly gound coffee coming from the shop on the corner with New Chester Rd

and playing on the waste ground where houses had been.

I would also be very glad to see a photo of the place.
