I have recently begun volunteering at the New Brighton Heritage Centre on Victoria Road, which has led me to learn a lot more about local history - a few weeks ago, I barely knew about the tower. I have been looking into road names and their origins, and have found it absolutely fascinating, but for the life of me I can find no information on Devon Avenue (off Manor Road). Would anybody be able to shed any insight as to why it got its name?
