Whilst walking to Mold from Flint 30 years or so ago, I found a medal in the gutter at the side of the road. Have kept it all these years - dont know why - and maybe its time to see it it can be returned to someone who may want it back? It has "The Great War For Civilisation 1914-1919" on the back. Around the edge is "PTE A JELLICOE 29105 1/23 BTN LONDON RGT."
Research done by me and some of my friends have narrwed it down to this :
he married Charlotte (Parry). Eileen was his daughter - who may have a surviving daughter and Son (Albert's grandchildren). Apparently he lived in Neston on Merseyside/Wirral and died in 1968.
I now need help tracing any of Albets descendants so that I can see if they would like to have his medal back.
Hi, There are a few Parry's and Jellicoe's in Neston, if you follow the link below it leads to a site called aboutmyarea ch64 which is a news site for the Neston area and if you contact the administrator on the site Carrie Spacey she will put your article on the site and you will hopefully get a relative reading it,good luck.
