Before Trepassey became a residential home, it was owned by a Clive F Bowring. My Mother worked for the Bowrings as a childrens nanny c. 1933/4. Does anyone know what profession Mr Bowring was, or how many children there were, are any decendents still living in Heswall or surrounds. Are there any photos of Trepassey of that time.
Anything that anyone can tell me would be much appreciated, as it will help complete a VERY complex jigsaw.
As an aside, when I was a child, I loved Irby, had many happy hours playing in Horrocks Wood, Thurstaston Hill, The Dales and Thurstaston beach. I went back to Irby in 2009 for a while, Oh dear!! what a difference, but I guess thats progress.
I would love to make contact again with Michael John Roberts (Mick) I used to go to school with him at Pensby Secondary Form 4b, 1950 - 1955 he lived in Pensby near to the Pensby Hotel, he will be the same age as me now 70. His Uncle Alf Roberts, worked at Dawpool Farm, Thurstaston.
Best wishes
John
