I'm sure i bought drinks in this place when i was a kid and used to fish a pond called the longy in puddington.Me and my mates sheltered under the huge conker trees across the road from the entrance to it during a thunderstorm in 1980(probably not a good idea).Scary to think that was nearly 30 yrs ago

A lovely old village-Burton. We used to take the kids there for Sunday afternoon walks. Burton Woods when the rhododendrons were in bloom was a sight to see. We bought sweets at the little shop there one Sunday and one of my girls nearly choked to death on a Bassets liquorice all sort!!

Yes thanks Neston Lad - great photos.  I particularly liked the one of the road through the woods.  I can see a group of children all sitting on the slope there.  Was the school right nearby?
