Stewarts fruit shops

I am trying to find out about Stewart fruit shops. My family owned them, 4 brothers I think (Charles, Davey, Allan and Duncan Stewart) My grandfather being Charles Stewart owned one on Dacre Hill, Duncan (my great unc dunc) owned one on Crofton road in Tranmere. The others I am unsure about. If anyone could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated (stories/memories), Did you have a bad customer service experience? or a great one?. Or is there anyone out there that participated in the daily running of these shops?

Cheers

Hi alexds86....I remember your great uncle Duncan Stewart very well, my mum and dad had a dairy shop on Old Chester Rd (Butterworth's Dairy)         Duncan used to come to in almost every day late on,close to shutting up time......oh my could he natter......he would stand there for an hour or more talking about old times past.

The shop at the corner of Parkside Rd/Crofton Rd was a small green grocers and he lived there with his (I think brother) but can't remember his name.

After my dad died in 1960 I took over the milk round and used to leave milk on Dunk's doorstep, at the rear where they lived it was like a museum inside....old African masks on the walls, spears...allsorts.  Warren
