I have written a piece about this before and this note is just a reminder that the 196th ladies day walk will take place on the 3rd june (thursday).The procession starts at 2pm ish outside the Malt Shovel pub and winds its way down to st marys and st helens church.There is a fair for the kids which this year will be held on the chester road car park(behind and to the side of the lodestar pub on brook street).A fun day out and a tradition that has been going on for nearly 200 years.I've attached two pictures from 1910 to show how they used to do it 100 years ago
