Does anyone have any info on the Roscote at Heswall ? It is described as once being...
"the residence of Mr T Brocklebank at The Roscote, Wall Rake. This was his summer residence, being a large house with magnificent gardens and greenhouses, since demolished for a small housing development."

Its was demolished in the 1960s but i have little to no other info about this building.

Hi Dr Frick

Thomas brocklebank was a banker and shipping magnate. The house was altered and enlarged by Doyle c1893.It was demolished in the sixties (a crime in my view) and is now roscote close which is in lower heswall by village road.Theres a good picture in yesterdays west wirral part one by ian boumphrey. He will more than likely be at the postcard fair in thornton hough on sunday 21st of this month if you want a copy
