Tithe maps for cheshire

I've had great fun lately looking at who owned what land in Neston in the 1800's.If you click on the link you can do a quick search with your family name or if you go to place name you can put in the name of the village (in my case neston was under great neston). If you find a relative with land click on the map at the end and see were it was in relation to the town

Thats great. My family were landowners in Burton and when i typed their name in it brought up all of there lands. I didnt realise they had so much, including a public house.

The name is Medlicott, very interesting.. Thanks

This is site is very very useful, not only the tithe maps but later maps. The aerial photos from the 1970's are fascinating for then and now comparisons etc. Very useful for photo research.
