	Paxman and The Mersey (Preview) I recently watched a tv programme on The Mersey with front man Jeremy Paxman (who in my view should not be on tv) however, the programme was fairly informative until he reached the river above the ship canal. 	The Magnet - 1950 film (Preview) For all the lovers of The Wirral in days gone by this really is a must. Filmed on location in New Brighton and parts of Liverpool it gives a vivid picture of what it was like. The story is a bit creaky but enjoyable. I believe its available on DVD.
